When Glances Suffice

It’s been awhile since the family had a relaxing time in Tagaytay. Last Sunday night, we finally were able to do it again. As I was cruising through Silang, my mind was already on LZM’s boneless bangus but then I caught a glimpse of Tita Boot’s Chicken Inasal. I remembered someone telling me that they have the best chicken inasal this side of Cavite. All this time we just pass by this place everytime we eat at LZM or go up to Tagaytay - until someone I know actually gave me his review. So I made a quick U-turn and decided to try the resto for the first time.
My verdict? I’m glad I made that U-turn.
We loved their ambiance - the lights and the wooden furnitures. Though since it’s just beside the Silang Bypass Road, it can get noisy with the rumbling buses. But I thought their piped-in music overpowered those street noise quite well. For us, at least.

Yummeeeehhh!

And the chicken inasal? Yeah, it was waaaay better than what Juday’s Ysabella character is peddling at Bacolod Chicken Inasal.
We will definitely will go back there again. And the best part is - it’s just 15 minutes away from our place!
We then capped the night with hot latte and mocha at Figaro while Andi was watching “Makulay ang Buhay sa Sinabawang Gulay!” on Youtube. Hahaha!

Got a really worthwhile tag from my good friend, Gerry and being a parent myself, I can’t help but spread this around as well.
Behind the award is a wonderful story of love and survival of a little boy given another chance to live through a heart donor.

Please help raise awareness for Organ Donorship in the Philippines and abroad.
So the idea is, you get this award and you help spread awareness by tagging other bloggers who doesn’t necessarily have to be moms and dads themselves. Just as long as they’re great human beings.
I am tagging the following people: Mabel, Bea, Elanie, and Jane.

Small Wonders… Done!

So I’m finally done with “Small Wonders” and this painting will be off to the framer tomorrow. I know it’s every artist’s dilemna as to when a painting is considered complete. It’s easy to put in a finishing touch here and a finishing touch there but knowing when to stop is the key. I knew I was done when I had to go out and catch a badminton tournament where some friends were playing. Hehe.

Delivering the Coup de grâce…

Of course, Andi was also in her own element while I was painting. She got her Prang and a sheet of Arches and painted just beside me. She was painting in some nice circles and blending colors beautifully…

… until no one was watching and she did this unto herself.

Andi’s “I-didn’t-do-it-You-didn’t-see-me-do-it” look.
Silly kid. Haha!

Wouldn’t You Want To Be Fezlis On Some Days?

Andi Now
Andi had to sit on the gravel before we headed to the mall earlier today. I used a good ol' 50mm lens opened to its biggest aperture of f1.8. Look at the creamy foreground and background bokeh. Photoshop's Lens Blur can't beat that! Ha! Street Attitude July 6, 2008 -oOo-

Taal, The Town Not The Volcano
With my budding photographer friends' spanking brand new cameras in tow, we headed for Taal town yesterday hoping to use up some digital bits. My circa 2004 D70 being the only dinosaur of the bunch! But with a 2pm to 5pm shooting time frame, I was sure we were not getting ...

I chanced upon this guy walking along Molino Road in Cavite on my way to work. It was interesting how he was just nonchalantly walking with his shirt off on this busy road. I also like how grungy the background was just when he came into frame. "Walking Hip" Molino Road, Cavite -oOo-
Live, Laugh and Love
Just got back from a very good friend's wedding in Tagaytay. It was great seeing old friends and ex-officemates. However, I'm drained and I'm even too sleepy to sleep. Ha! The irony! The couple hired the excellent photographers that I recommended. I was dumbstruck at how beautiful the images they ...
